Beats and Bytes is a documentary about the music in video games — the movement of video game music in popular culture and the movements within the music itself. Gone are the days of bloops and bleeps. As video games have become more complex, so has the music. Yet people still don’t consider video game music to be an art form. Much like the scores to movies, the music in games is what makes you connect to what you’re playing, immersing yourself further in the worlds you explore and characters’ lives you inhabit.

The music in games also help fuel the arts and encourage fans to explore music. We want to show everyone how video games impact both society and individuals to be creative and — most importantly — passionate.
